Lovely cottage, fab location but let down by several things. Poor kitchen equipment and teapot and coffee pot left dirty and had been left for weeks. Only one towel per person not 4star. No curtain or blind in dining room which on a hot day made it unusable. Very nice garden furniture but no garden umbrella so on a very sunny day could not sit in the garden. We bought an umbrella in the end and used it and brought it home with us. Both shower drains were blocked and need cleaning out. In our opinion the cottage needs to be reassessed and things updated and where necessary replaced.

Discovered this little gem and had a lovely two weeks in Shaldon. Perfect position , close to shops . Butchers shop serving excellent quality meat and pies (had to bring some home) and fresh bread and cakes next door . Very private rear garden and two patios to catch the sun. The only down would be the stairs, quite difficult if you are elderly or have mobility problems. Bonus is there are THREE toilets, one of them downstairs.

Nice cottage but only suitable for 4 people not 6. The two "double bedrooms should have been singles the beds were squeezed in with no space for wardrobes and in the case of the smallest not even a chest of drawers and little room to walk around the bed! Also only comfortable seating for 4 in lounge. Shame as otherwise lovely.

this was the 2nd time we have spent at Honeycomb Cottage it is located in the most quiet village ,people are so friendly ,plenty of places to eat and great pubs. The cottage haves everything you need inside and out, your greeted with a cake and milk, I would certainly go back again.

Lovely cottage and wonderful location. We enjoyed the coastal walks, the smugglers tunnel and Shaldon zoo without the need to get back into the car. Highly recommend the cottage and the location for a family holiday.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful village. 2 minor issues were dealt with very quickly by friendly owners. We had a fantastic holiday - our 2 yr old absolutely loved Shaldon and so did we.
