The cottage/lodge is really lovely. My husband and I are both 6 foot tall and so we found the sloped ceiling in the kitchen quite restrictive so for us we would not stay there again. However I would recommend it for anyone shorter than us as the height of the ceilings would not be a problem. The owners are really lovely people and the cottage is in a fantastic location.

Close to the main road. Also noise from a electrical mechanical device throughout the night.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback however we are disappointed with the low score you have given in comparison with our other and usual high scores. The front of the property does face the road it is about 12 meters away. It is the main road in the village but is not a busy road and has very little heavy traffic. The balcony at the rear of the property enjoys a rural panorama and is secluded from any road noise. We have investigated the 'electromechanical device running throughout the night' and can only conclude the noise was coming from a washing machine in the main house running on an off peak setting some evenings. We have changed the timings to avoid this happening. If you have any queries or if we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

The views were lovely and it was quiet and very relaxing just what we needed. A great area for exploring and lots of grand houses to visit in the spring, we did find one that was still open and explored the gardens of another. Had a good meal at the local pub. A pity the lighting in the kitchen was not working there seemed to be a missing tube under the wall cupboards.
