We had a lovely four day break at Holmlea. The cottage is ideal for families and is very well equipped. I was disappointed to not have condiments available after all salt and vinegar are essential for a seaside holiday. We did have some issues with the heating and the bathroom light but the Owner was very helpful and responded to our problems in a timely manner. If you are not a confident driver/parker this cottage may not be for you as the parking at the front of the property is not the easiest and the road is narrow. The area/street are lovely and quiet and there is a sea view from the upstairs bedroom. The local amenities were great and you can't beat all day parking on Brid seafront was very cheap, you can even redeem your parking against sessions at the leisure centre. We will definitely be back when more of the tourist attractions open from Easter.

Enjoyed stay in Holmlea, visiting the local resorts of East Yorkshire ,being Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington, Flamborough and Dane's Dyke. Cottage was very comfortable apart from radiators upstairs need to be bled as they were cold and the kitchen cooker hood does not work when using the stove.

First holiday in Bridlington for years & chose this house as close to main routes to & from the area with easy access to other towns, amenities, bus routes etc. Local convenience store , post office, bus stops & expensive fish & chip shop 5 mins walk & pub serving food all day 10 mins walk. House was on a very quiet but narrow road on outskirts of town 30 min walk to/from town centre & harbour area. The off road parking area on the front of the house was "challenging" due to narrow gateway and walls either side plus neighbours car parked very close to drive edge. House was very clean & well equipped inc efficient central heating we used several evenings as it turned cold. We also made use of the excellent washing machine and drier. The lounge had two large comfortable sofas & the Freesat Tv was excellent though the house would benefit from & be more attractive to more prospective visitors with a Wi-Fi connection, an omission I failed to note at time of booking. The kitchen was well fitted with units and appliances, built in oven and hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, pots & pans etc though there were only 2 teaspoons (?) for a house which could nominally sleep 4 people & we noted had been remarked upon before. The kitchen was long/ rectangular & quiet dark at one end despite a window so lights were needed on most of the time. The main bedroom downstairs at rear overlooked a rather tired drab looking paved back yard & former garden with access via patio doors from this room but there was a clothes line should it be needed. The bedroom had a comfortable double bed with two double wardrobes, bedside tables, hair dryer & Freesat TV. Upstairs were two single beds, chest of drawers, a double wardrobe & Freesat TV & this room is ideal for children or snorers banished from the main bedroom!! The bathroom/toilet off the entrance hall had an excellent over bath shower though the bath was positioned under a window ( which could be opened to combat condensation)) with a cloth blind which had to be pulled down before showering. This blind became very wet when showering & and bore small black mould spots and the pull chain and reel were both rusty & the bathroom would have benefitted from an extractor fan to remove excess condensation. Overall this was a nice, comfortable, well equipped holiday home and we would consider it if we holidayed again in Bridlington
