A lovely cottage, everything you need and more. So clean and comfortable and the owner is on hand if you should need anything. It is the second visit and we will be back in 2016

A lovely well equipped cottage in a great setting. Handy for the beach and Dalbeattie Forest. A local shop nearby has all that is needed. Owner of the cottage left a chilled bottle on wine, home made scones and gorgeous home made raspberry jam! Plenty to see and do in and around the local area. Pubs and hotels are very dog friendly.

Quirky, spacious cottage in very quiet location. Kids loved the wildlife, especially the peacocks. Swimming pool next to owner's property, not the holiday cottage, but just a couple of minutes walk. Bathroom could do with updating.

This cottage was really nicely furnished, comfortable and clean however it was situated on a working farm and was not accessible to our dogs neither was the garden. although there was a swimming pool we could not find it on the site. The owners of the cottage were friendly and helpful but as we were not able to let the dogs into the garden without a lead was a distinct drawback. We choose self catering cottages because we do not like to leave our dogs at home or in kennels.

The cottage itself was lovely, as was the owner. Unfortunately it was not great with our dog. The garden is not secure and the chickens and peacocks wander in every day which drove him mad. Every time we went in the garden we had to check for them first and he had to be on the lead. If you have a dog that is a born predator this will not be the cottage for you! If, however, this does not apply to you the cottage is nice and peaceful with plenty of space. There is a lovely walk up the hill at the back of the cottage with stunning views, well worth the climb!
