Situated ½ mile from the shores of Lake Ullswater in superb surroundings. This working farm borders the River Eamont and is close to the craggy peaks of the lakeland fells. Fells nearby include the High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 8 miles. Penrith, 6 miles. Windermere, 13 miles. Access is via a small, private holiday park under the same ownership. Good location for peace and quiet yet only 1/4 mile walk to Pooley Bridge with shops, pubs, cafes and steamer trips. Young children’s play area and small football pitch nearby. NP81 is adjacent to the owners quiet seasonal holiday park with no letting or sub letting.

Ground floor: Dining room/kitchen. Drying area. 1 twin bedroom. Two steps up to living room. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Shower room with toilet. Seven steps to 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 1 single bedroom.

    This cottage is truly lovely and so comfortable and spacious. It's got everything you need for a great stay. The location is fantastic and people should not be put off that's it's on a caravan site as it's very quiet and all the vans are privately owned and has a very homely feel to it all. The cottages are not near to the vans so they still maintain their rural feel and look out onto surrounding fields and farm buildings. There is also a lovely garden that leads straight from the patio doors from the living room and it's safe and secure for anyone with younger family. From the cottage there is also a walk through the fields along the river that takes you straight into the village which is fantastic as its literally 5 minutes walk and your there! The property owners were on site and there to greet us when we arrived and were very nice and helpful. The only thing we had an issue with was the heating which we found to be fine on the whole but this is a very large cottage and sometimes we did feel a bit chilly especially during the night. However there is a beautiful coal fire which is very warm and cosy in the evenings and coal and logs and kindling is available at reasonable cost to purchase from the owners. These are stored in outbuildings directly outside the cottage and you are free to go help yourself and pay when you leave. ( initial bucket of coal and very large basket of logs is provided free of charge on arrival )

    2nd visit here and couldn't recommend it more. Also stayed at the smaller cottage and will be back to one or the other next year.

    Fantastic cottage and really lovely owners. The photos don't do this cottage justice, its huge, with plenty of room for seven people.

    A lovely cottage with a fantastic lounge with open fire. 10 minutes walk across the fields to Pooley Bridge, where there are 3 pubs and the pier for the Ullswater Steamer.

    Great place to stay really quiet at all times. Having a private garden is lovely. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The cottage is well kept and clean, definitely recommend to anyone.

    Great location, a pleasant walk along the river to Pooley Bridge. Well equipped and spacious cottage for 7 adults.
