A traditional Cotswolds cottage with pleasant views, a pleasing base from which to join the Cotswolds Way and other routes.

The Hollywood producers of ’Bridget Jones Diary’ chose Snowshill as a location for a reason. You will see a view you will not forget from this lovely Cotswolds stone holiday cottage. With a beautiful raised garden at the rear, this end of terrace property is located right in the heart of the Cotswolds. The shopping delights of Broadway, 2½ miles, and the ’capital of the Cotswolds’ Chipping Campden, 5 miles, are on your doorstep. Just opposite, the village inn serves food and has a children’s play area. The historically renowned Snowshill Manor (NT) is also a must for visitors.

Ground floor: Living room with beams and double sofa bed (for alternative sleeping). Dining room/kitchen. Utility room. Spiral stairs to first floor: 1 double bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. Second floor: 1 twin bedroom. Two additional Z-beds (for alternative sleeping).

Electric woodburner in living room included. Gas central heating included (£25per week, £20 per short break October-April). Electricity and bed linen included. DVD and small library. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Wi-fi. Cottage style garden with patio and furniture. Garage. Parking. Book and games library. No smoking. NB: 17 steps up to garden.

Excellent cottage in a quiet hamlet. Hill View Cottage has well appointed rooms and had plenty of space for us, a nice garden at the back and easy parking. Lovely area for walking, their is a good stream railway only a few miles away and Snowshill is in easy reach of Stratford-upon-Avon. Local pub friendly and serves a varied menu for all tastes, obviously it can be busy on a Saturday in the height of Summer, there is a good variety of restaurants in Broadway Village, a few miles away. Loved the cottage and the area, we would consider staying there again.

Lovely cottage, peaceful with wonderful views and a friendly local pub serving good pub grub. Appreciated the black out blinds and the long mirror in the bedroom. Shame about the smelly fridge we found on arrival, felt the four pound additional (local) charge for towels was unnecessary and being rudely knocked up 'bang on 10am' and forced to depart exactly on time. Recommend a more customer friendly caretaker be found to increase the likelihood of repeat business / personal recommendations. We rented 5 cottages last year without any problem.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for comments and I'm glad you liked the cottage. We do not advertise that towels are included only the linen and we feel £2 per person is a very reasonable amount to cover the cost of laundering them. We do not charge guests coming from overseas. My very experienced caretaker always checks with outgoing guests if it's a convenient time to clean the cottage. This is to ensure there is adequate time to get the cottage ready for the next guests.

A beatiful cottage in a beautiful village, the cottage was short of nothing, the Snowshill Arms pub is a fantastic oldy world pub where all the staff made us really welcome and the regular customers were very nice too. Great food choice, everything we had was delicious. Already booked the cottage for same week next year.

The cottage is charming and well equipped and the location idyllic! Spoilt for things to do in the area in four days and absolutely love the morning rush hour - one car at 7.30am, one horse rider at 8.00 am followed by another car at 8.30am! Peace and quiet - bliss! The weather excelled itself and we even seemed to have our own gardeners! The only downside was the fish and chips meal at Snowshill Arms - poor meal but not your responsibility. Would rebook and have recommended the cottage since.
