Delightful little place, with all the appliances you could need. Well placed for visiting both coasts of Cornwall. Close enough to Wadebridge, yet rural enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Welcome basket a lovely touch.

Great cottage. So quiet & peaceful, just cows, sheep & fields. Loved sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine looking at the view. Wonderful welcome basket on arrival. Very central location & in easy reach of Polzeath & other beaches, Port Issac, Fowey, Padstow etc. Caroline the owner was very helpful. Could do with a wicker waste bin & doormat to wipe feet on by door in each of the bedrooms but apart from that it was great!

Lovely stay in Cornwalls beautiful countryside last week. The cottage is a beautiful barn conversion and very well equipped for a home from home stay. We cooked in the accommodation and enjoyed relaxing evenings after busy long days either exploring or body boarding with the kids- the washing machine was an added bonus! The owners have a very useful guide from their own knowledge of all the local beaches and placed to visit. We enjoyed a week here as a family With 3 young children and was very comfortable, even had a rowing boat we used on the pond!

Mid week the hot water stopped working to be fare it was fixed that day. The outside of the cottage could have done with a good wash down, outside the main door hadn't been washed down from the winter algae and was slip y. When l phoned up the previous week to sort out ref the key after the call l felt as if l wish l hadn't bothered the person at the other end of the phone wasn't rude but very off as if it was all to much trouble. . Nobody called to see if everything was alright or where everything was.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. I am sorry about the hot water but break downs do happen. Luckily we were able to have it repaired during the day whilst you were out so I hope it did not spoil your holiday. The algae can be a problem especially so after a very wet winter. The yard does not get a lot of sun particularly when the barn to the rear is full of straw as it is currently. It isn't normally but that is another symptom of the wet weather, there are cattle in the straw shed because the ground is too wet to turn them out. We cleaned all the yards recently but that one got overlooked, thank you for reminding us. In fairness most people use the French door to the front of the cottage and don’t bother with the back one. I have no idea who answered the phone as we were not here, if it were male it would have been the farm bailiff who is Polish with limited English, if it were a girl then it would have been the girl who does the calves who is very shy. Neither of them are familiar with cottage lettings and so would not have thought to ring you. Again I can do no more than apologise. Your comments seem to contradict those that were left in our visitors book which makes it all the more surprising that you scored us as low as 5, particularly when our recent previous scores have all been 9's and 10's.

Fantastic base to explore Cornwall. We wanted somewhere remote and quiet and that's what we got. Facilities at the cottage were superb. Loved our stay.
