6th year staying here and still love this property. Great location for peace and quiet yet close to everything you could want in Cornwall. I have booked for next year as always but the property is now in need of a little investment which I am hoping the owners will make to tidy up the garden and carryout some maintenance and decoration before we return.

We think the garden should be maintained when property empty, not during our stay, plus also a worry that all downstairs windows unable to open as locked. Apart from these we had an enjoyable stay.

This is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It is spacious, tastefully furnished with plenty of character and equipped with everything one could wish for. What makes it magical is the rural location at the top of a steep lane, surrounded by fields, with the converted barn sitting in its own grounds in which rabbits and pheasants roam freely. There are plenty of places to visit in the area, such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House, Mevagissey, Gorran Haven and Caerhays Castle.

We have been staying at Highcote regularly for 5 years and his year we slipped in an extra visit in Spring so we could visit Caerhays Castle and gardens. A really fantastic retreat close to beaches, gardens and tourist attractions but it still feels wonderfully remote and peaceful when you want to relax. Lobbs Farm Shop at Heligan (5 mins drive) is a must for really great food!
