Great location. Lovely cottage. Care taken by owners to present cottage beautifully for visitors. Downstairs toilet and bathroom was a bit annoying but hey it's an old building!

Very clean, comfortable and rustic cottage in a lovely position with lawned front garden overlooking rolling hills. hathersage has all the shops, pubs you need and is a good place to be if you are without a car. We appreciated the quiet location in this well equipped cottage.

Lovely cottage. Perfect location. Great walks from the door. Pub with good meals within walking distance. Lovely garden and views. All the home comforts but in a traditional cottage style. My daughter loved the twin room. Would recommend owner just putting in some high ball glasses and option for thinner duvet as the thick ones a little hot in summer. But fantastic stay best cottage I have stayed in for a while. Thank you.

A most beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. It's a shame we didn't have time to visit the area as we were there whilst our son was competing in Sheffield but would have no hesitation in booking here again.

Loved the house and particularly the location up a hill with amazing views (maybe not so good if not able bodied). gardens are amazing - lots of space for children to run around. House itself is a little dark but that comes with the charm and quirkiness of such an old house. Really loved it. Perhaps a little more attention in cleaning the cottage would have been good - lots of cobwebs! But not a big deal really and completely outweighed by the positives of the house.

Great location, a stones throw from lovely countryside ambles, super local pub with excellent food and service. Further afield easy access to the Peaks.

We love this cottage. It is as close as possible to being ideal, given that is is an old cottage with lovely old steep stairs and typical small windows. The view is wonderful, and the surrounding garden secluded and beautiful.
