A home from home, beautifully situated in the hills above the town of Kirkcudbright. Lots of places to visit and some of the most beautiful coastline in Scotland. Many places closed out of season but many more still to explore in and about the immediate area. The house was well equipped with almost everything you need for a relaxing break away from home, but still it felt 'homely' enough with a roaring fire lit and a roast in the oven on a cold day. It was very spacious and although there were eight of us we did not feel crowded, but we could have done with a couple more chairs or floor cushions as it was too cold to sit on the window seats. There are plenty of shops both in the village and in nearby towns and there is a wonderful smoke house along the coast towards Stranraer where we always stock up on goodies. The kids (and big kids) loved Brighouse Bay even in the cold winter weather and the Stewartry Museum in Kikcudbright is wonderful. Shopping in Castle Douglas was a treat and a visit to the Isle of Whithorn was a delight. This was a lovely home in a most beautiful part of Scotland. Thanks for the experience!

Could not possibly fault anything. It was the best holiday accommodation we have ever had.

Great holiday thanks. A couple of minor problems that were sorted almost immediately. I scored 9 for comfort as the double bed upstairs was slightly hard, however I know this is a personal preference.
