a wonderful base to stay in the Lakes, the lanes were narrow but by mid week, we were good at look out for oncoming cars etc! night time, dark and log fire roaring, what could be better!

Very comfortable, in a quiet location. Plenty of good walks around the valley it's situated in, right on the doorstep! Lots of native wildlife in the area too. No mobile phone or internet, so no modern life interruptions (but also no Google, which was missed). Very relaxing cottage with a great view of Garburn Pass on the opposite side of the valley.

The accommodation was first class with everything that we needed and the view from the cottage beautiful in sunshine and rain. The road leading up to the cottage was a challenge due to it being narrow and allows for only one car however after a few days we got to know the road well. The lakes not to far away and a short car drive away. As this was our first visit to the lakes ovverall a great holiday and we do plan t o return.
