Homely place with a great atmosphere. Lovely for star gazing and a break away from the city. Would need a car though to explore beaches or Norwich (nearby city). I'm sure you can go on walks and maybe a pub nearby but it's quite limited.

We had a great three nights in a converted barn, in a field in the middle of nowhere (which is just what we had planned). The conversion is very spacious with everything you need (although the shower could do with being a bit more powerful). Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are visiting Norfolk again next year!

A lovely space and originally well-equipped, in a quiet and atmospheric part of south Norfolk. We were initially wary about sharing the courtyard with (what turned out to be) a larger property, occupied in our week by two adults, four kids and a dog, though on the whole they were pretty quiet and we were faced by no worse than a daily wall of washing. However, ongoing maintenance let the place down badly. The oven thermostat did not work properly (it set macaroni cheese on fire!), the towel rail in the bathroom did not work, the outside light had not worked for several past visitors, and the remote control for the CD player was missing so it only had very limited use. Trim was coming off the kitchen doors, the vertical blinds were breaking up, the toilet roll holder was loose, and there were incomplete instruction booklets (though several for appliances long-gone, including two previous TVs). There were no spare light bulbs, no spare bin-liners, no salt and pepper, only one tea towel for the week, and the bedding was the most synthetic I've encountered since the 70s. I realise the estate office was only down the road and some (though far from all) of these issues could have been resolved fairly easily, but I like to get away on my holiday and not spend it putting things right that should be done routinely at the end of each let.

We had a very relaxing time at the cottage and loved watching the wild life around the cottage. We had a lovely walk down to the river where we saw a Marsh Harrier and if we had been staying longer we would have had a longer circular walk along the river. We found it central for visiting this area of Norfolk.

I absolutely loved our holiday. It was my little boys 1st break. We are going back in August. Perfect location and felt so relaxed. We hired the hot tub and loved every minute. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommend.
