From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

An ideal place for the family with its friendly animals, Valley Views is located in an area filled with attractions.

Overlooking a secluded valley, just 8 miles from Woolacombe’s long sandy beach, these three superb holiday properties each enjoy their own enclosed garden area, and are peacefully set down a mile long made-up private road. Close to the owner’s home, they have been imaginatively and beautifully converted from former farm buildings, incorporating glass frontages to take advantage of the lovely views over the stream-bordered paddocks which lead to beautiful woodland walks. Children love getting to know the bunch of friendly animals, which include miniature ponies and donkeys, llamas, pet sheep and small flock of traditional breed hens.
Perfect for a relaxing holiday, the area holds a wealth of attractions. The ancient town of Barnstaple, with its Domesday associations, lies just 5 miles distant. Here the visitor can find a good selection of shops, restaurants, museums, a theatre and various sporting facilities, not to mention a 14th-century parish church, a fascinating Heritage Centre and a daily Pannier Market. For watersports enthusiasts, the beautiful beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands are a must, affording some of the finest windsurfing in Devon, as well as being a haven for sunbathers and sandcastle builders. Wonderful walking and riding can be enjoyed in the nearby Exmoor National Park (6 miles), where red deer roam the rugged moors and magnificent sea views can be admired from lofty cliffs and headlands.
Among the many places to visit within a 5 mile radius are Arlington Court (NT), with its collection of model ships and Victorian accessories, and Marwood Hill Gardens, complete with its string of lakes, rare shrubs and exotic trees. The resorts of Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, Lynton and Lynmouth are also easily accessible, each offering its own blend of seaside charm. Golf and sailing, 8 miles. Shops 5 miles, pub 3 miles.

This charming and imaginative conversion is the end one of three cottages (adjoining Woodland View) and offers stunning views across the valley. Spacious open-plan living/dining room with beamed ceiling and well-equipped kitchen area with stable door to patio and garden. Stairs to half-landing: Double bedroom. Bathroom with toilet. First floor: Two twin bedrooms, each with en-suite shower room with toilet.

Where do I begin? On arrival we had a lovely cream tea and bottle of wine. Milk had thoughtfully been put in the fridge and fresh flowers were in every room! Susanne popped by to make sure everything was okay for us. Everything was fantastic! Location was near to where we wanted to go but so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was spotless and we loved it so much we will be booking up again for next year! Lovely, lovely, lovely!!!!!!

Best layout for family with children as parents room on middle floor kids on top floor! And open plan downstairs. Plus farm animals, quiet and relaxing area and lovely host who gave extras like cream tea, wine and fresh flowers. Only few miles from woolacombe - great beach for everyone.

We enjoyed staying at the cottage, it was well equipped with spacious rooms, dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine and a large up to date flat screen tv. The downsides are the location, it's a mile down a single track road with few passing places. It's in an area with no mobile phone signal. The Wifi router is in a cottage three doors away which caused troublesome access to the signal.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your positive comments on my property. With regard to the other comments made, I would like to reply as follows: The concrete driveway is our private drive and is probably no narrower than most roads in North Devon. There are 11 passing places along the one mile. Most of North Devon has an intermittent mobile signal but there is a landline telephone in each cottage. I am not sure where you obtained your information on the wifi but the router to Valley View is located behind the rear wall of your property. When I greeted you on your arrival I did say that whatever problems you may encounter, please contact me on the free call number and I am sorry that you did not take me up on this offer. It is one of the main benefits that we live within the complex and are available 24 hours a day for our guests. The wifi problem you encountered may well have been solved by a simple re-boot of the equipment had you let us know.

Great cottage. Lovely welcome afternoon tea, eggs and wine! Location was great, the lane was a bit tricky at times with cars coming other way. Would definitely come back, our daughter loved the animals! Thank you :-)

Spacious and comfortable accommodation, ideal for three generation family. Owners on the spot were very helpful, responding very promptly to requests e.g for extra cutlery.
