We have stayed in several cottages on the Riverside Estate. Hero's View is way above the standard of any of them. The furniture and beds were confortable of good quality, which makes such a difference away from home. Would definitely recommend this lovely chalet.

Our second home! This was our 5th visit to this property, so the owner, Val, must be doing something right! In reality, she is doing everything right! We immediately feel relaxed and at home as soon as we arrive, and we cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is warm and cosy, comfortable, 101% equipped, 101% clean and the perfect place to relax and watch the world go by. The Yare PH is in easy walking distance and provides a lovely atmosphere and good honest pub food - and a very yummy Sunday Roast! Next time we will check out the Bistro and that is a similar walking distance (5 minutes). We enjoyed a train ride to Norwich and back - the train station is right beside the Yare PH and with a fare of £3.50 per person return and no parking to worry about it was a lovely day out. If we can find a mutual gap in our calendar and Heron's View availability we'll be back in the Spring!

This year was our 4th year at Herons View and it never dissapoints. The views, location and the relaxed holiday was excellent. The cottage has all you need to make your stay comfortable and over the years Val has continued to make thoughtful improvements to the cottage to make it even better.

This is one of the nicest properties we have stayed at in over 20 years of cottage holidays. It was extremely well equipped and everything was of good quality and scrupulously clean. It felt like a home, rather than a holiday let. Val, the owner, was welcoming, friendly and helpful. She had provided lots of little extra touches, which we appreciated. The cottage is in a quiet location but the boat hire companies, pub and railway station are within a short walk. The village shops are a little further away, but still within walking distance. The view from the cottage is superb. We spent ages enjoying the peace and quiet while watching the boats and wildlife. We saw the kingfishers every day, the herons frequently, and enjoyed feeding the ducks and swans. We also brought our kayak and explored the river. We had a lovely, relaxing week and cannot fault this cottage at all. It deserves its awards and we highly recommend it!
