Our two night stay at Mavis Cottage was idyllic. The cottage was full of character and had all the amenities that you could possibly need for a break away from city life. The location presented stunning views and access to glorious countryside walks. The owners were friendly and welcoming and added to an enjoyable break. We would have no hesitation in recommending the property for a charming countryside break.

This property is in great need of an update. Glasses, crockery and cutlery have seen better days. A modern wide-screen TV would be an improvement. There were no pictures of the bathroom on the website - we now understand why. The conservatory and the views were great.

We have just returned from a week at this delightful cottage; the owner greeted us on arrival and had very thoughtfully laid out an afternoon tea for us, which was a lovely surprise - home made cake - gorgeous! There are plenty of kitchen utensils, cottage was lovely and warm, the views were stunning and we would definitely recommend. Very kind, thoughtful and welcoming hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble.
