From a touch of luxury to characterful heritage, experience one of our truly inspiring holiday properties.

A unique property right on the waters edge with generously proportioned rooms - a great choice for large gatherings.

Enjoying a beautiful waterfront location, these three holiday properties (refs CBBH, CBBJ and CYY) have their own private mooring and superb views over the River Thurne and a National Trust wildlife reserve (which featured in the BBC1 TV series Secret Britain). Ferry View, standing detached, and Heigham View, one of a pair, offer spacious accommodation for larger groups and have a first floor balcony where guests can take in the abundant birdlife. They each have a games room with full size snooker and table tennis tables; Heigham View additionally has the benefit of a second sitting room/games room with 65in 3D TV with blue-ray/DVD and surround sound. Ferry Cottage is a detached, two-bedroomed property with rooms all on the ground floor. All offer the very best in waterside living. For the fisherman, this part of the Broads offers some of the best coarse fishing anywhere in the UK (fishing licence required). For the nature enthusiast, everything is on the doorstep - walking and cycling can be enjoyed along a network of quiet lanes and the river and the Broads can be explored by boat, which can be hired directly from the owner. Winterton-on-Sea is a short drive away with its wonderful sandy beach and dunes. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the north beach is home to a colony of grey seals.
The BeWILDerwood Outdoor Adventure Park at Horning offers treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and more - all adding up to a great day out for children. The fine city of Norwich with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatre and vast array of cafes and shops is half an hour away. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area, which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest Jacobean houses in East Anglia), the beautifully landscaped Sheringham Park and the magnificent Blickling Hall with its woodland and lakeside walks. Horsey Wind Pump is only 3 miles away (and a good destination for a boat trip).
For a special meal or family celebration a gourmet meal can be arranged with the owner. There are shops and pubs in the village 1 mile away.

An excellent place for a big get together. Bedrooms all with ensuites where ideal. The open plan downstairs was superb for the party atmosphere. The only issue was that the house was too warm and we couldn't turn the heating down.

Lovely house and location. Plenty of room for all the family (16 of us). We all thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend. No issues with the showers as problem has now been fixed. Beds were comfortable. Minor issues were towel rails and shelving need screwing to the wall firmly. High gloss kitchen cupboards needed better cleaning and we did find a contact lens belonging to a previous guest on the bathroom floor! However, inside of kitchen cupboards all clean and in the main bathrooms and toilets clean. It's a huge place to clean.

We had an amazing time there...the views and entertainment in the house was fantastic . There was no need to go out as we were entertained by what was in offer. The rooms were spacious and you didn't feel you were on top of each other. Will defo recommend or visit myself again. The only thing I can complain about was the showers not very powerful and in some en suites literally trickled out. But we were told to shower one at a time which we did and which took forever. All that said stunning place and set up. Thank you so much .

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your email. Anglian Water has at last restored the water pressure and so the plumbing is now back as it should be.

Excellent property with plenty to do whatever the weather, would love to go back. The items that need addressing are the showers/ general water pressure, fantastic snooker table but not so great equipment, some handles and fittings were a bit loose and the knives are all very blunt. I think a gate to the river would also improve safety for little ones.
