Winterton-on-Sea is a short drive away with its wonderful sandy beach and dunes. This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the north beach is home to a colony of grey seals.
The BeWILDerwood Outdoor Adventure Park at Horning offers treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and more - all adding up to a great day out for children. The fine city of Norwich with its cathedrals, castle, museums, theatre and vast array of cafes and shops is half an hour away. There is a wealth of National Trust properties to visit in the area, which include Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Park (one of the finest Jacobean houses in East Anglia), the beautifully landscaped Sheringham Park and the magnificent Blickling Hall with its woodland and lakeside walks. We have stayed in quite a few holiday houses around the country and this is the best yet! Plenty of space for 6 adults, 8 children and a dog. Spacious living area of kitchen, dining and lounge plus balcony, with lovely views of the river and across to National Trust countryside with chances of spotting geese, swans and other wildlife. The separate room with table tennis and a big screen kept the children entertained when at home, but we were out every day as there is so much to do nearby. Easy walk into Marham with its village green, pond with ducks, pub with large beer garden, well-stocked Co-op, Chinese take-away and fish'n chip shop. Winterton-on Sea and Horsey Beach with so many seals, Thrigby Zoo, BeWILDerwood Adventure Park and, of course, a day on boats along the river direct from our house. Perfect!

What a wonderful place to relax and party! 11 of my family joined me to celebrate a significant birthday. The accommodation gave us all space to relax and also to enjoy each others company. We cooked for ourselves and everything that we needed was there. The dog enjoyed his walks and everyone who had to return to work wanted to stay on after the weekend. The view was wonderful and it was so quiet. The beaches nearby were lovely even in March but the table tennis, snooker table and the 3D TV kept us amused. The owner made us feel welcome and I would happily return.

I stayed here for the weekend with my family for my sons 18th Birthday. There was 14 of us, ages ranging from 3 months to 82 years. We had a fantastic time. The property is very spacious, comfortable and clean with loads to do. The views are amazing. The kitchen is very well equipt. Its a great place for large families/groups. Will definitely go back again.

The house is amazing! Very clean on arrival, with 6 spacious bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathroom, and one additional bathroom on the second floor. We had a party of 16 people, ranging in ages from 2 to 87 and the house catered for everybody. Lovely peaceful views over the water and fields from the balcony (even the weather was beautiful considering it was the end of October). The kitchen/dining area is vast, very conducive to sitting around chatting before, during and after eating. The table tennis table and the snooker table on the ground floor were well used. The washing machine and dryer on the ground floor were very useful. All in all, a fantastic house for large get-togethers. One very slight criticism, the heating was on full blast and couldn't be adjusted, so we just opened the windows.

Heigham view really was a huge property. All the rooms were a really good size, great for families with children. Bedrooms Top floor 2 larger family rooms (1double X 2 singles) Middle floor 2 doubles & 2 twin rooms Every bedroom had a large en-suite (none of which had a window) - 5 had showers, one had a bath and shower over. There was also another bath room thrown in! The kitchen area was large, with a good size fridge freezer and pretty much 2 of everything..... Except the property only has one dishwasher, so clearing up after mealtimes (with so many guests) did take a while. The dining area was a good size and overlooked the broads and the lounge area just added to the space, however, not that we watched it, the tv here was too small for the space..... But we didn't go on holiday to watch tv. Speaking of TVs, the one in the family room was massive! 3D 60"+, with 3 sofas and a table tennis was either / or (games or films). Overall we were all pleased with the layout, size and style of the property, it was better than we thought it would be. The snooker room was an added bonus for the grown ups however we didn't use it that much. The utility room was great, didn't come home with any washing! Wifi and mobile signals were a problem, it didn't bother me..... But thats not true of Everyone. The only problems were: - Lack of recycling facilities - Too far to walk to village, it said one mile, but with kids it was much too far, so had to take the car everywhere. - Would have also been nice to have had a BBQ with a table & chairs on the grass. But really, they are minor points. The property was tidy and spacious, cleanliness wasn't 100% we found broken glass in the snooker room and dried beer on the side table & window sill and some of the crockery was filthy. But it was simply enough to sort and with a property of this size, you can't have it all. We enjoyed our stay and all had a great time

We had a party of five couples and a baby (two University Students) and the accommodation was perfect for all ages. We cannot recommend Heigham View highly enough. Each bedroom had its own bathroom/shower room ensuite, the kitchen could not have had any more crockery/glasses etc. There was no shortage of anything at all, space, equipment, beds, even entertainment facilities were provided. Clean, warm and most inviting. We took advantage of the Gourment Chef which proved to be the icing on the cake......the food was out of this world. We left Norfolk a very happy family, thank you to everybody involved.

Wonderful house! Great location! Needs another fridge for 16 guests! Maybe a wine/drinks fridge. Outside terrace needs a really good clean! I cleaned the table outside on arrival and it was filthy! The dishwasher doesn't clean properly.
