Second stay at this cottage, really like the place, especially the log burner, space and uniquely comfortable style of the house. This time our experience was even better than last year: we found more excellent cycling and hiking opportunities in the nearby trough of bowland / waddington fell area and had a brilliant 3 days. Also of note was a really good meal out in St Anne's and the coffee shops there. Finally the cottage owners could not have been more helpful, leaving a welcome gift of chocolates ( I think as a loyalty bonus!!) and allowing me to store the bikes safely following a query I made. They could not have been more helpful and we were made to feel our stay was important to them and nothing was too much trouble. I appreciate good, friendly service, especially when combined with good value. Top Marks, THANK YOU!

Idyllic location, quiet and safe for children. Loved the quirkiness and outside dining space. Sat out most nights on the decking, with the twinkly lights it was lovely. Would be ideal for a nice romantic weekend.

Hedgehog Cottage was just what we were looking for in a relaxing weekend break. We received a warm welcome from Jill the owner and a lovely welcome pack inside the cottage which was really thoughtful. It was great to sit out on the decking in the evening and children would appreciate the massive garden. The cottage was comfortable and had everything you would need for your holiday.
