The location is superb and access to the property good. However, our accommodation was disappointing as there was no storage in the bedroom apart from a small wardrobe, (i.e. no drawers) which meant living out of suitcases for the week. No mirror in bedroom and no hair dryer. We had to move a chair out of the bedroom so that the suitcases could be easily accessible. The situation with the septic tank restrictions were not pleasant and we had not been notified in advance that toilet paper could not be disposed of down the toilet. There was nowhere to hang wet towels to dry. The kitchen area was very good but there was only one chair suitable to use at the dining table. The settee in the lounge area was uncomfortable and had seen better days. There was no coffee table. Overall the property did not match our expectations.

Cornwall is great, this was a good base to get around the parts we wanted to see.

The owners are very friendly and try to do everything to make your stay pleasant. They give you a very warm welcome, a little bottle of wine and cookies are waiting for you and when you leave noone checks the rooms. The location is nearly perfect, its remote and quiet, yet in the middle of everything in western cornwall. You have a little garden of your own an a wonderfull view. But the cottage has a massive humidity problem. The whole cottage stinks, especially the kitchen cupboards. If you put something inside for a while it smells like cellar, when you take it out. So all the dishes smell like cellar. And you should know that you have to collect your toilet tissue in a plastic bin. You are not allowed to flush it, because the drain system can' t manage it.

A lovely setting and central location for exploring that part of Cornwall. Reasonably priced. We had a warm welcome. The lounge was comfortable. The last night we heard the cuckoo - fantastic! We had a happy holiday.
