Four of us plus Labrador had a lovely weekend stay early November. Cottage well equipped and tastefully decorated to a very high standard couldn’t fault it. Quite remote but only a short drive to pubs, shops etc. Hosts are very welcoming and setting is beautiful.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival which was very much appreciated, along with the wine and cupcakes. We loved the modern and high end finish in The Old Parlour - particularly the plates and cooking equipment. Nice little touches such as hand cream, cotton wool and tea/coffee provides an extra luxury. Shower was massive and lovely to use. Had some issues with dog hairs over the bedding and a lot of dust collected on floors by bedside tables and on wooden rails above bed - I suffer with allergies so this was probably more noticeable to me so I had to hoover before I could sleep. I would recommend a privacy curtain or screen to be added to the main door as it didn't feel very private with people walking past outside and the main door being directly opposite the bedroom. The tv had a problem where the bottom half of the screen was obscured for the first 10 minutes of viewing which was slightly off putting. None of this impacted our holiday though and we had a great time, the hosts were very lovely and helpful.
