We spent a very pleasant week at Hearn Lodge. The location is just what we like - rural and quiet with good walking from Hearn Lodge and in the nearby Quantocks and Exmoor. Hearn Lodge is roomy and is attractively and comfortably decorated. The kitchen was recently redecorated and is very well equipped. We were pleased that there is a separate washer and dryer that both work very well. The shower was great in the family bathroom with a shower stall. We enjoyed having breakfast in the conservatory that overlooked the large well-cared for grounds with an apple tunnel that was in bloom while we were there. The owner was nice and helpful. Although their house is attached to Hearn Lodge, the configuration means that Hearn Lodge has privacy. We would certainly stay in Hearn Lodge again.

A really , homely, comfortable and spacious cottage in a stunning setting. Well equipped and beautifully furnished. A lovely place to spend a relaxing holiday, enhanced by the friendliness of Brian, the owner.

we loved staying at Hearn Lodge while visiting friends, family and also sightseeing as much as we could. Sadly we didn't have time to really relax and enjoy the house and surrounds but we would definitely return in the future. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, especially when we arrived late at night and got lost in the lanes. We didn't want to leave but would have loved to take the house with us when we did- a great find!!

Beautiful cottage in lovely location, spacious and good appliances. Would have liked a more up to date guest book as it was a little dated it is nice to have more personal touch. Owners very welcoming, warned us about the traffic, made sure they were home for shopping delivery in case we were late and said call on them if we needed them which we didn’t. Thank you.

We stay in cottages at least once a year, and have done so for many years. This is by far the most comfortable, most pleasant, best equipped cottage we've ever stayed in. We had two wonderful weeks at Hearn Lodge. It's located in a gorgeous little valley, both far enough away from anywhere yet convenient for everywhere in the West Somerset area and beyond. Being able to hear the steam trains in the distance was a treat! What struck us when we first arrived was the amount of space in the cottage. The photos don't do it justice. Each room is huge and the garden us enormous. There are loads of places to sit and enjoy the surrounding, both inside and outside. The conservatory is warm in the evenings and sunny in the afternoons. The lounge furniture is very comfortable (not always the case in cottages). There's even room in the kitchen to sit and chat, and every bedroom has comfy chairs too. Outside are various places to sit and there are deck chairs to take into the garden should you wish. All that meant that on the couple of rainy days we had we didn't at all feel cooped up. We would most definitely recommend Hearn Lodge to anyone.

Very comfortable cottage, friendly owners and virtually all requirements covered. Will certainly go there again as location was also first class. Only the A303 gave us any problems.
