Had a really nice holiday, fantastic location especially for dogs. Lots of freedom and amazing walks from the door. Came home yesterday and already missing it. Will defiantly be booking again.

We had a wonderful stay at the barn and we did so much walking. This really is the most perfect location for walking Hadrians Wall. It was spotless and had everything one needed for a self catering holiday; kitchen utensils aplenty, DVD's , books, leaflets and guides, a drying cupboard. The gift of wine and biccies was really appreciated , especially as they just happened to suit our vegan diet! The only downside was the slight aroma, but I'm sure if I'd mentioned it the owner he would've done his best to rectify or explained how to alleviate the problem ( it emanated from the kitchen ) Great shower, no complaints there! Not a negative comment as such , just a 'FYI' but the lambs can wander into the garden area and they bring their resulting noise of course! This is just us as a couple, you may not experience the same problem, but the zip lock bed was a tad , and I stress just a tiny bit, uncomfortable. Like I say, it's just us, we tend to roll towards the middle . Great garden/ courtyard area which is superb for a bit of bat watching. I would definitely recommend this place. It is dog friendly, though you can't tell if you have allergies or an aversion to dogs because it's so clean.

We loved Haytongate Barn, it was well equipped and in lovely quiet settings. It is local to Hadrians Wall walks and the Lanercost Priory.
