Lakeside, seaside, countryside, hillside...wherever you can picture your perfect cottage, you'll find it with Welcome Cottages!

A fantastic touring base, with beaches, historic towns, castles and traditional Welsh pubs to explore!

These beautifully renovated detached Welsh barns, Ty Llo (ref W43266) and Coal House (ref W43267), stand a few yards apart, and a small terraced row of three (300 yards from the barns), comprising Wyth-y-Nant (ref W42214) and Hawton (ref W41830), both end terraced properties, and Coeden Afal (ref W41764), the mid terraced property, are all situated on Carmarthen Bay in the coastal setting between Ferryside and Kidwelly. Tastefully decorated throughout, each bursts with character including original stone walls and beams. Close to the historic castle at Kidwelly and just a short drive to Carmarthen. Beaches at Ferryside, Pembrey and Llanstephan are all within easy driving distance. Enjoy a day at Fos Las racecourse, only a 15-minute drive. The holiday cottages provide an ideal location from which to enjoy the sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire and the Gower, the latter renowned for being Britain’s first AONB. Spend your days exploring the historic town of Laugharne, famously known for the iconic boathouse of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, and visit the castle and traditional Welsh pubs where fresh fish is always on the menu. A large and wonderful end of terrace cottage oozing character and comfort. Adjacent to the farm's campsite about two miles from the local town & bordering on a Park Resort - this proximity did not adversley affect us in any way and we could have paid £60 to join their activities & entertainment programme for the week, had we so wished. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped, beds are super comfy & it completely met our needs & those of any family, we imagine - the only improvement we can suggest is to have the bathroom towel rails functioning independently of the central heating which wasn't on, being August. There are lots of interesting visits possible from here to gardens, castles, a NT property, Dylan Thomas' home and a nearby country park with beach, horseriding etc etc - we even caught the train to beautiful Tenby one day. The basic welcome pack, tea tray with Welshcakes, ample toilet rolls, torches etc etc were great. Wifi vouchers are provided but it is intermittent so we enjoyed the two TVs, played card games & talked to eachother!! The icing on the cake is definitely the Hot Tub which we all loved. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Camarthen Bay and highly recommend Hawton. Enjoy!
