Walks from the door lead along the magnificent Wenlock Edge escarpment, and easy drives to Church Stretton (with gliding centre), Cardingmill Valley, Ironbridge, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. This cottage is clean, light and airy. It is well appointed, and fully equipped. The owner is very friendly and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. We would not hesitate to stay here again, unfortunately our holiday plans for next year take us to another area of the country.

The house was immaculate, the only drawback was the noise of early morning commercial traffic on the main road. Much Wenlock itself is an interesting place, with plenty to see and pleasant walks setting off straight from the house. We ate in the Talbot and the Fox - food good in both but completely different in style and atmosphere. There are lots of other interesting places to visit within easy driving distance.

Nice place overall. Positive points: Well equipped. Friendly host. Much Wenlock nice village/town with sufficient places to eat. Good places to walk locally. Nice drive by car to other Shropshire towns. Negative points: Beds were very firm. Traffic noise from A458 ran all night, and noisy as close to bend on a hill. Perhaps more traffic than most weeks because A49 closed overnight and diverted down this road. We strongly prefer to sleep with the window open, but closing it may have countered some of the noise. Plumbing sounds travelled clearly through the house.

Very friendly and helpful owner, very clean and comfortable . The only downside was, when we were there it was very warm, and we needed the windows open, which meant we suffered from the noise of the two adjacent busy roads during morning rush hour.

A lovely part of the country to stay in and the accommodation was handy for some great trips out.

A very nice cottage to use as a base for exploring the area. Owner most welcoming and friendly. Some early traffic noise but bearable.

We had a lovely time. The house was lovely & clean & included everything you could want (apart from a decent tin opener!). Great to have bedding & towels supplied. We really couldn't fault it & had no issues with road noise or steep drive as some people had reported, maybe road noise would be an issue in summer but in February we had the windows shut. For our group (3 adult daughters + ancient parents) it worked out very well, plenty of room to do stuff together or separately & good toilet/bathroom facilities. We did struggle to do a jigsaw in the dining room due to the low light - maybe another standard lamp could be supplied - a minor point though. We didn't use the outdoor areas as the weather was decidely wintery. Good local knowledge offered by the owner who showed us round the house, how to work the appliances & where to get a good Chinese take away. The fact that it was available for a short let was also a big bonus as we only had 3 nights. Definitely recommended.

A lovely house, within a few minutes walk of Much Wenlock. Spacious for 5 adults and spotless. Christmas decorations a bonus - would recommend Much Wenlock's Christmas Fair.

This is a lovely cottage located in a beautiful and interesting area. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The only minor snag is that, as it is situated on a main road there is some early morning traffic noise.
