Osprey Cottage (ref 15885) has been converted to create a super holiday retreat with rugs on polished wooden floors upstairs in the living areas, and cosy bedrooms below. Heather Croft (ref 26213) is a detached bungalow nearby, cleverly designed by the owners with lots of windows to maximize views of the surrounding countryside. The But ‘n’ Ben (ref 28139) is a charming converted barn for two. An ideal choice whatever the weather. Next door to Dunkeld is Birnam, home of the Beatrix Potter exhibition and where there are riverside walks along the Tay. An 18-hole golf course is 1½ miles away beside the Loch of Lowes Wildlife Reserve. There are walks and cycle tracks in the bordering forest. Fishing locally. Shops and pubs 2½ miles.

Peaceful and secluded location. Walk from the doorstep with your four legged friend and watch the red squirrels from the windows. Heather and Leslie are friendly and thoughtful hosts.

The cottage was perfect for 2 plus a dog. There are walks from the door. The owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. Excellent for walking, resting and escaping from busy lifestyles!

We had an excellent holiday at the But N’ Ben. Heather and Leslie were very welcoming and provided all sorts of useful advice and help, including lending us their boot crampons so that walking in the ice and snow was so much easier. Wonderful eggs from the friendly and inquisitive chickens. The cottage is warm, comfortable and very well equipped.

Lovely little cottage, well equipped kitchen and a fabulous shower! The only problem we had was the sofa was very uncomfortable but we let Heather know and they brought us round a comfy chair and said they would reupholster the sofa. The cottage is very close to the forest and there is a lovely walk nearby. The lane to the cottage is not tarmac and is very lumpy in the winter but don't let it put you off. Leslie and Heather are very good hosts.

An absolutely fantastic cottage. Very well equipped, the large walk in power shower was brilliant as my partner is disabled. So cosy and in a beautiful woodland setting. Heather's home made preserves and pickles are wonderful!

We couldn't speak highly enough of this cottage which was one of the best equipped we have stayed in. Great walks in the surrounding forest for both humans & dogs. Lovely welcoming owners with free range eggs & home made ( by the owner) chutneys & marmalades one could buy on the premises.
