We enjoyed ourselves but a review from us would be unfair we did not use the cottage for its location or views it was merely a convenient place to get together as such rating it conventionally would be unfair

Was a great space but were a few drawbacks. For the size of accommodation needs a range cooker with controls with numbers on it. Need a better selection of glasses and the living room needs some table lamps or freestanding lights. Too many lights felt like a doctors waiting room. We bought a table lamp for the last two nights !!

We had a great trip. The Barn was very comfortable in all ways. The rooms were big and very clean. Will go back again in future. The only thing for the owner to consider is to provide some more tea bags and sugars as those provided were only a few and was not enough for a family of 10 adults and 3 children. We had to go and get it on the first night from Morissons in Leek. Satnav brought us to the farm adjacent to it which was White Leak farm or something. Please look for Harvey gate farm board on the gate.

Very nice place I would recommend to somebody else! There is a barbecue outside, everything is very clean, it's a quiet place, you can go for some shopping not so far away and it's a great place to visit Peak District.

We enjoyed our holiday. What let the BARN down was the cooker. All the markings had worn off, and trying to cook for a family of eight when I did not know what the temperature in the oven was proved to be rather tricky. The kitchen knives badly needed sharpened. Just a bit of TLC would have made all the difference. The location was great but the dog poo was in the area where the children were supposed to play. If the cooker was replaced I would consider going back to the BARN. The welcome pack consisted of a small bottle of milk, a few tea bags and sugar. Not really a welcome pack. Hotels provide that.
