Excellent location for a walking holiday with little need for a car after we had arrived. Cottage is lovely although does need an upgrade to some of the bed mattresses to rate a 10.

Beautiful house, ideal for 8 adults. Plenty of logs for the wood burner and nothing to much trouble for the owners( nearby).

House was fairly clean, a few cobwebs high up and under / down the side of some furniture was dirty but no big issue. I think a dog had stayed fairly recently and there was hairs on the throw on the sofa. House was warm, only used heating for a little in morning, it works really well. Showers were good but could be a bit temperamental. All towels were provided, looked pretty new. Bed mattresses were quite soft, I prefer firm but still got a good nights sleep. The mattresses on the singles bed were very poor, like sleeping on a rack! Accessing the house with all your luggsge at the start is a pain. There are about 25 steps up a narrow winding passage way. It was stated when we booked. The shortest route from roadside to the house is partially blocked by beer barrels from the pub and it looks pretty grubby. There are other, slightly further routes with about the same steps but 20-30yds further walk. Whatever you do, don't use the gated "private" easier and shorter access as it only angers the resident that blocks the gate so even he can't used it! (All very childish) The parking available is approx 100yds away. It's not secured but the area isn't rough, so no issue there. This house is mainly about the location . Cracking view of the bay and harbour. Food at the last inn is spot on, are in there 3-4 time during the week
