We had a great stay at Harbour View over New Years Eve. The owner had left the Christmas tree and decorations up for my little boy which I thought was a lovely touch. The house was great - tons of space. The only slight negative would be that it was lacking a few basics - dustpan (we bought one and left it there) and bins upstairs but these were minor things and all in all it was great! Would definitely go again and love Barmouth.

Overall the cottage was perfect, brilliant location etc Some areas need decorating. The Kitchen could be improved with a bigger fridge freezer n new knives/tin opener etc And showers took a bit of figuring out how to get them to work. But we coped and overall was ideal for a big active family.

Harbour view was well situated in Barmouth which is a lovely town and good base. The cottage was nice and clean and the bathrooms have been refurbished to a high standard. The bedrooms were large and the beds very comfortable with nice quality bed linen.

Loved it there! Beautiful views over the harbour, close to The Last Inn pub/restaurant and to the town.

Cottage good size for a family with excellent views over Barmouth. Although warned about the number of steps to the property there was no mention of the narrow access to the foot of the steps. This made trips into town difficult with a pushchair or bike. The passageway was at the side of the owners inn and often partially blocked during the day. Storing of bikes and pushchair was a challenge at times. We did leave our bikes in the bottle store but this was not always convenient for the owners. The mattresses were uncomfortable and due for an upgrade.

We were delighted with the property. It was lovely and clean and perfectly situated. There was one day when there was a workman working at the front which restricted our access and prevented us from using the outside seat and another day when we were woken by banging as someone erected a pergola to the back. This was frightening for the children. A friendly warning of both of these events would have very much been appreciated having spent the amount of money we had in the hope of enjoying our relaxing and stress free holiday!

The cottage is in a gorgeous peaceful location but 2 mins walk to the pub and shops. It is comfortable and would be cosy in Winter also. We found the fridge small for 8 and would have liked a freezer as there was only a small icebox. Also little practical things with children would have been handy like a dustpan and brush, a washing basket and a stairgate. A draining rack for dishes would have also been useful as there is no dishwasher. We worked around all these things though and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The views made up for everything!
