This is a mixed review from me mainly because we visited during the school holidays meaning the week cost almost £800. Firstly the good bits the house is located with stunning views of the harbour from the lounge and both bedrooms, the lounge is nicely furnished with comfy sofas a modern TV with a small supply of DVDs etc. The welcome pack was lovely with tea, coffee, milk and Cornish biscuits too. The master bedroom was great new matching furniture, tea and coffee supplied in the bedroom to enjoy tea and coffee in bed we thought this was a great touch as the kitchen is on the ground floor. The location is good to tour around cornwall and although there is no car parking nearby the owner provides a parking permit for the main car park just outside town. It's a gentle 5-9 minute stroll so not to bad. The downsides though mainly was the bathroom shower issue. There is a nice looking bathroom an ensuite to the master bedroom but the shower is less than useless it's either a cold dribble or a hot dribble we only used it once. We are not ones for baths really so this meant that we had booked a place with two showers for the four of us but we all waited for the one on the top floor. The other downside to this house is the stairs they are terribly steep, with low overhangs, bannisters that are too short and the top floor is not only steep but incredibly narrow. I couldn't negotiate the stairs and carry my wash bag or clothes up and down luckily one of my children helped. The bathroom arrangement on the top floor looks a bit made up with saloon style doors for the toilet and a tiny 800mm by 800mm shower but at least it worked. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed but if I'm honest the kitchen was way overdue an upgrade as it was dark and dingy space we hardly ever used apart from breakfast as it felt oppressive and had very old furniture in. A couple of rooms have a charity shop feel with mix and not so match prints and furniture. I could look past the awkward stairs because this is clearly an original and beautiful house but the poor showers and the top floor bathroom is not the standard you would expect for almost £800 per week. It meant we lost time every morning trying to get out of the house. The mattress in the master bedroom was also very thin and a cheap ikea type I would suggest investing in a eve type mattress too. So if it was a cheap or bargain week around the £300-£400 mark I would look past the issues I've mentioned but I'd like us you are being asked to pay £760+ I would book elsewhere, if you have a disability or are over 6ft 3, or on the large side you will really struggle with the stairs to the top floor and master bedroom too.

Great place (our second visit) perfect location. Parking is about 2 mins walk away. Advice: have everything ready to unload in wheely cases, pull up outside the post office (at the end of the road), don't block the harbour road. Dump all of your passengers and cases and go back and park. Wifi is very hit and miss but nearby properties have BT (with fon) so you can use that if you buy a pass (buy 30 days if you are there a week - it asks you each day if you want to use a 1 day voucher) best reception was next to bed in the main bedroom. My Nexus 4 got it, my some Galaxy 5 got it, the Ipads did not (We had to use bluetooth from the phones) or better still just manage without it. Beware of stairs it has LOTS of them.

Loved our stay in Mevagissey, shame there was no WiFi at the cottage. Would definitely stay at Harbour Heights again.

Should consider extending the second piece of handrail after going round the corner on the stairs from the lounge to the double bedroom, certainly not a major problem but would make it better. It was a delightful cottage, with fantastic views, in a wonderful location and we will be booking again. A wonderful holiday

Great little house. Didn't expect the view from the first floor so that was a bonus. Just the two of us do was perfect, but I think it would be a struggle if you wanted to use both rooms unless it was kids, and then you need to be careful because of the stairs. We're quite eat sized adults but if you were larger you would really struggle to use the toilet on the top floor.. We used the shower on the top floor and although there was a great view from the lounge, it was worth the extra two floors to eat at the table in the top room. The cottage was very well resourced although we only ate cereal breakfasts and cooked two dinners, but everything worked and there were plenty dishes to cook more complicated meals. Mevagissey is lovely, and although we travelled to other areas most days, it was a lovely base and definitely worth spending time in. The double bed was worrying when we arrived, it felt hard and lumpy, but whether it was the fresh air and walking, we slept well every night. I'm still missing the view from the window! We both loved it. No wifi but the ship inn had free wifi, good food, and a nice atmosphere. Overall we had a lovely stay in a perfect location. Lovely cottage and would stay there again.

What a surprise, what a lovely cottage. The furnishings etc make up for the stairs. Its the best one we have ever had.A great place to stay, great for eating out.Could not wait to get back to the cottage having been out to sit in those easy chairs with the sun on you looking over the harbour.Well done.

Only one problem, it needs wi fi. It's a must have as the phone reception can be difficult and download speed in the area is appalling.
