This property is in a great Somerset location with something in the area for all ages.

This semi-detatched converted barn lies within the 5-acre grounds of the owner’s home where the owners make their own cider, and have planted a vineyard of Pinot Noir grapes. It has a separate private entrance, sitting out and parking area. It has been carefully renovated, retaining high ceilings and beams, and offers contemporary décor and furnishings with a second snug lounge area on the galleried landing. The village of Baltonsborough offers a rural and peaceful setting, only 4 miles from Glastonbury with its legendary King Arthur connections, the Tor and abbey, and home to the renowned Glastonbury music festival. Within a few miles visitors can reach Street with its Clarks designer outlet village, The Royal Bath & West Showground, and slightly further afield the city of Wells with its magnificent abbey and Bishop’s Palace, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton, Wookey Hole caves, Haynes Motor Museum, the city of Bath, Millfield and the Cheddar Gorge. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The master bedroom is spacious - so spacious that you could easily stick an armchair in the corner or something. The master bed was also very wide and comfortable - although be aware that it is a 'zip and link' bed so there is a slight indentation in the middle where the two singles join. The shower provided plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The real log fire was easy to get going and there were lots of free logs. The decor of the whole house is subtle and everything was well-maintained and looked very new. The kitchen was mostly well equipped (for example, there were only 4 cereal/soup bowls, so families might have to run the dishwasher after every meal). The only minor niggle here was that the surfaces looked clean to the eye. However, as a precaution we always run a wipe over the surfaces - and we were a little disappointed that there was a bit more dirt than we have experienced at other properties. However, it only took us 30 seconds to wipe down the surfaces and kitchen table and then everything was fine. The attic lounge felt intimate and cosy. The TV had Freeview. And the wifi provided good coverage and had good speed too. There's a large garden that is shared with the owners - we found it very handy for our dog to do his business first and last thing in the day. (And the owners even provided poo bags too!) Overall, we had a lovely time and we would happily return to this property. Highly recommended!

A lovely cottage in the countryside, but still close to some lovely towns. The cottage is well kept and has everything you need provided. Such a lovely relaxing weekend we spent here.

I booked this cottage for my daughter, her partner and their dog over Christmas, and overall they were very happy with everything. However, their first impressions of the property weren't great - the drive entrance was incredibly muddy, even for Somerset, and they had to open and close a gate in the mud, in the dark (the outside light doesn't light up the gate area) and the courtyard and looming buildings covered in plastic sheeting didn't exactly say 'welcome.' Once they were inside, all was well - they loved the property and enjoyed their stay.

Thank you for a great stay for a family wedding. We didn't really explore local amenities but there did not seem to be a local shop except in next village. The cottage is beautifully presented and very comfortable. Small bits of feedback - the coffee machine was difficult to work and a simple cafetiere might have been easier to manage. The iron is not very effective and the lead is far too short. Otherwise a brilliant place to stay - thank you.

We loved our stay so much at Hambush cottage we stayed the weekend after on our way back home. The cottage is situated 5 miles outside Glastonbury and 25 mins from the M5. The cottage is clean and modern with a lovely Howdens kitchen with all integrated applicances including electric cooker & hob, microwave and washer/dryer so we were able to wash our clothes instead of taking it all back home to be done. There's a decent size table and chairs for family meals & a fridge freezer. The king size bed in the master bedroom is so comfy and there's an en suite shower room with heated towel rail. The log burning stove is perfect and there's a log store to help yourself to. The main bathroom is a good size and again a heated towel rail. The cubby section upstairs is complete with a tv, settee, long footstool and 2 bean bags which our baby loved. The second bedroom has 2 single beds. The only things we'd have added is a TV downstairs in the main area and bedroom.

An enjoyable week in this beautiful immaculate cottage. A little off the beaten track but within glorious countryside. glad we had a sat nav! although there is a snug with a tv,we wished there was a tv on the ground floor,as we found ourselves all sitting round the table until we went to bed. could have done with some seat pads perhaps? we were lucky with the weather.

Lovely well equipped holiday home, mod cons and olde world charm. Quiet location. Car necessary as far from main road.
