This property was perfect for a hectic extended family Christmas. It was fully stocked and a toy box was available. It is done to a lovely standard and the photos really don't do it justice. Unlike some properties Hallgarth does not hike it prices up during Christmas season. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for the memories!

A fantastic holiday house with tonnes of character and charm. Easily accommodated 10 in our party and was the most fully equipped house we have stayed in. The AGA was not a problem and none of the party had previously used one. Our policy was if it ain't broke don't fix it and left the settings as we found them. Pickering is lovely with plenty of eating and drinking places.

Very comfortable, lots of space, all of the 5 bedrooms were a good size, very nice conservatory and a helpful owner when it came to advising on the BBQs. The kitchen is very well equipped but the aga does need to need to be experimented with.

A brilliant location for our reunion involving family members from Exeter, Devon and Australia. The house is beautifully maintained and includes every convenience we could have wished for. Pickering is a lovely little town and offers excellent road access to a wide variety of attractions. Our favourites were the North York Moors railway, Robin Hood's Bay, the National Railway Museum in York and York itself. Eating out in Pickering was highly enjoyable and we would recommend both the Bay Horse Inn and the Black Swan. Will definitely come back!
