Absolutely lovely easter weekend with our grown up children. We wanted peace and tranquility and this cottage was just right. Lovely and comfortable. Can't wait to stay again.

Located within a tiny village it was a great base for a family to visit the local area, including White Post Farm and Wheelgate park, as well as for a walk around the village. The cake left by the owner was lovely and appreciated. Plenty of space.

A nice quiet location next to a Winkburn Hall in the village of Winkburn. The owner was pleasant and welcoming but unfortunately the house is in great need of some attention. The front room door was hanging off it's top hinge and dragging on the carpet. You couldn't use the dining room table as it was all wobbly. There was black mold in the kitchen cupboards and behind the upstairs toilet. The downstairs bathroom extractor fan didn't work and the toilet seat was broken so we all used the toilet upstairs. The bedrooms were spacious but unfortunately there was an active wasps nest at the front of the property so we could not open any front-facing windows. The couches in the front room were very uncomfortable. On our last day at the cottage a floor board gave way in the twin bedroom and my foot weent through the floor, but luckily the carpet held and prevented me from injuring myself. I contacted the owner who said her husband will take a look.

Superb location and very quiet, which was great, but the property requires some modernisation/maintenance. Whilst superficially clean, a thorough 'spring clean' is needed as there were cobwebs everywhere. Phone signal very sporadic and whilst there was a Wi-Fi router there was no internet connection - though many would see this as a bonus! A lovely countryside location in a tiny hamlet was the main redeeming feature.
