We had only a couple of sunny days in the week so needed the heat on, which worked well. The furniture in the sitting room was small, but so are we so that was not an issue for us. However there was a lot of furniture in the house so it seemed very 'cosy'. The internet worked well, the kitchen worked well. We did not appreciate the plastic coated undersheet on the bed - a better quality one would have served better. Unfortunately the sheets were also slightly damp. We had not noticed that there was absolutely no garden - not a problem (no sunshine either!) but this would have been very disappointing if the weather had been better as there was nowhere to sit with a g&t at the end of a day. The village facilities of a pub and shop just over the road was fabulous, and we were lucky enough to find out about the play on Tuesdays in Criccieth on Tuesday!!! (very good fun)

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. With regard to the damp bed, I can only state that it was washed and dried as normal and I cannot recall any extenuating circumstances which would result in damp bedclothes. Regarding the under sheet, this is in place for hygiene reasons as it can be washed between lets therefore keeping the mattress clean and in good condition. The property does not advertise a garden but the convenience of being close to the coast and the many coastal villages / towns is surely compensation for this. We trust you enjoyed your stay in Llithfaen and hope to welcome you back to Wales in the near future.

The Cottage itself was lovely. just like a home from home. Well placed in a quiet village and a great base to explore the area. If you like hill walking it is great. Nice beaches all around the area and many places to visit and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather however that did not detract from the holiday.
