Boasting a woodburner and a games room, this grade II listed cottage is within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants.

This Grade II listed, terraced holiday cottage is located in the heart of the ancient part of Woodbridge, and dates back to the town’s medieval foundations. Originally The Guild Hall and subsequently cited as the first Woodbridge Free Grammar School founded by Thomas Arnott in 1577, many of the original features have been exposed, and it has been renovated and furnished to a very good standard. An ideal location for year-round breaks, there is a cosy woodburner in the living room perfect for a winter’s afternoon after a stroll along the river, and a courtyard for alfresco dining in the summer. Located just off the market square, Woodbridge is a bustling market town with a range of independent shops, fine dining pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, as well as a swimming pool, independent cinema, sailing and glorious walks along the River Deben. The train station is also nearby, with rail links to London, the coast and the Broads. The ancient Saxon burial ground at Sutton Hoo (NT) is 3 miles away, and the famous seaside resorts of Aldeburgh and Southwold are within easy reach. Ideally located for golf. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Excellent location in a beautiful town. Everything you need us close by from grocery shops to river walks. The cottage has everything you need and more and a lot of space...something you can't tell from looking at it from the outside. Kept in great condition. Highly recommended.

The only reason we would not return is that we are growing older and the stairs and steps would be an increasing hazard. In every other way we found the cottage a lovely, comfortable holiday home - oh, a non-slip mat at the shower end of the bath is essential for older folk like us!Convenient for the many facilities

A lovely cottage, dating back many years has all the amenities one requires for a comfortable stay. WiFi is provided and worked well for us. The kitchen is quite small but has everything you would expect to find. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and have comfortable beds. A nice gesture was the cake and milk that was left for us. We would certainly stay here again.

Very convenient cottage for a stay in Woodbridge as it is right in the town centre. As we had already toured the local area we enjoyed a week where we could just walk to pubs, restaurants shops and attractions.

A lovely cottage which is very well appointed within walking distance of the town. There was plenty of equipement that was needed. The cottage had a lovely courtyard garden though small it was ideal for sitting out in the evenings with a drink and the use of a BBQ. We did find the stairs a little steep though that was probably due to our age!! Woodbridge was a delight with lots of interesting shops. There was noise from the pub opposite on a Friday and Saturday night though this did finish around 12:30 then it was queit.
