The cottage was nice but the beds very uncomfortable, the cheapest thinest mattresses none of us slept very well. Some very low doors which i new norhing about till 24 hours of going. The wet room bathroom was lovely accept when having a shower you stood in 2 inches of water as it took ages to soak away and almost covered the whole room floor. The drive from the cattle grid was a lot further than expected and just glad i have a four wheel drive car.

Although the house is lovely and in a wonderfully picturesque part of the country, we felt that it needed some TLC. It was equipped brilliantly - thank you; the beds were reasonably comfortable even though a couple of the mattresses had problems with the springs. However, we had to sweep the conservatory clear of cobwebs and spiders, and clean the bird droppings from the front door step which would have been trod throughout the house otherwise. The garden needed maintenance (as does mine at home) - lawns cut, weeds and stinging nettles cleared. Apart from that Gruskham is overall a lovely place for a thoroughly enjoyable few days break.
