We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grove Lodge. Andrea and Rupert are lovely hosts, who make you feel special from the moment you arrive. We were greeted by a lovely welcome hamper, a homemade carrot cake and balloons and banners as Andrea had enquired, while ringing for key collection arrangements, if anyone was having a birthday during the stay. Little touches such as this go a long way. The cottage is well equipped with everything you will need while away, but the main thing is that Grove Lodge is very clean and maintained to a high standard. The hot tub is maintained everyday, by Rupert, who you never see doing the maintenance, but the hot tub is also very clean, and a lovely place to relax on an evening. 5 stars definately and more importantly, we would definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to return. Thank you very much Andrea and Rupert.

Stayed here for a weekend in April 2018. Grove Lodge was one of the best lodges I have stayed in. If your looking for peice & quiet this lodge is perfect. The owners andrea & Rupert were very welcoming and left us a welcome hamper (fantastic) we had the use of one of their fields for our dog to run wild its nearly the size of a football pitch (fantastic) nice owners. Nice lodge. Very impressed. Thank you andrea & Rupert.

Fantastic stay at Grove Lodge for a week. Rupert and Andrea were the perfect hosts and made us feel at ease from the minute we met. They were on hand very quickly if we needed them. The lodge is very clean and has everything you could need and more, aswell as being done to a high spec throughout. Would recommend this to anyone, and the hot tub is a big plus. The welcome hamper was delightful and the carrot cake was superb.

Although the cottage is in its first year, the majority has been very well thought out. Most charming hosts with their guests firmly in mind, if we could guarantee such hospitality we could have travelled much lighter not needing to pack so much of everyday essentials. Quality is second to none, including the hot tub, although the wifi was rather slow and unpredictable. The only gripe was it is advertised as "pet friendly" and they discriminate at the size although after a little communication and reassurance, I am sure our old baby donkey of a dog poised no problem! A most welcoming break away from it all with the sudden loss of my mother we have been taking care of for the past 2 years and the selling of my house the day before arrival, could not have been pre-booked for a better or worse time...especially as it was a taster holiday with the "in-laws" which was a huge success certainly contributed by this wonderful property and has certainly has given us "food for thought" for our retirement!!

Wow ! What a beautiful place to stay. We received very warm welcome from Andrea & Rupert, including homemade cake. A peaceful setting giving complete privacy yet a pleasant walk to the village, where we found a convenience store & lovely pub serving excellent food. The Lodge was beautifully decorated & provided everything we required. Can highly recommend & cannot wait to return, definitely 5 stars.

What an amazing place. The accommodation and the outside space was amazing. It was so private, with the enormous paddock, fantastic views and peaceful surroundings. The hosts were really generous and kind and it was a real pleasure. We went with our two small children (one aged 2 and the other only 6 months) and it was great. The eldest didn't want to leave the cottage and every time we ventured to a nearby town or the beach, she'd just ask to go back to the holiday cottage! Thank you!

I've stayed in many cottages before but this is, by far, the nicest one. The location is stunning but isolated which is perfect for us, you definitely need a car to get around. The owners live adjacent but no bother but on hand if you need them, they're lovely nothing is too much trouble. It's very dog friendly with a paddock you are welcome to take the dog in as long as you clean up after yourselves. Both double rooms are en-suite which is wonderful especially if you are away with friends. Not really a place to take children, it's perfect for a romantic getaway or for a couple of friends to go and unwind. Now the hot tub.. ....best thing ever, nice and hot and so relaxing, we loved it first thing in the morning about 7.30 and late at night under the stars. Heaven. I would definitely go back there, the welcome pack was wonderful.
