Only a two day stay which was too short. Lovely period cottage in country setting, next door to owners house. Fantastic garden, which we were free to explore. Cottage clean and well equipped. Warm welcome and farewell from owner. The star turn was Doris, the little Jack Russell belonging to the owner's daughter.

Garden was lovely, but felt accommodation needed refreshing. Not everything was clean in the kitchen, carpets were dirty and kitchen chairs were dangerous as nearly broken. No info from owners about surrounding area which was a bit disappointing. Property was a nice size and bedrooms were decent, although cushions and duvet covers were also clearly very old and worn.

Beautiful period features and spacious rooms. Large garden, great if u have kids who like space to let off steam. The owners have a very friendly jack Russell who loves kids and there is a yard full of show horses to admire. Very quiet location and with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, this really is an idyllic retreat. The only negative thing I can say is that the cottage was a little chilly if the heating wasn't on. Also the local pub seems to be shut up so you have a ten minute drive to another one. Overall though a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend
