This cottage is excellent value for money. It is very well equipped with everything you could need. Some people may think it is isolated but to us it was in a very beautiful part of the country and being away from any traffic allowed my two grandsons (7 and 22 months) to play in the grounds without any fear of anything happening to them. If you are looking for a restful time this is the place to go.

Remote setting giving peace and quiet in the woods. However its only a ten minute drive from Balloch with all its amenities. Scenery around the national park is stunning.

I loved the house, but I felt a bit cut off, as I could n't get a signal on my mobile phone and I was unable to use wi fi. The property itself was safe, apart from the fact that there was a power cut. As I was with two disabled people if i had an emergency I would have been unable to contact anyone. There was a power cut, so I left on Tuesday evening instead of Saturday morning. I tried to contact the owner by telephone to inform him of the power cut ( I only had the landline number not his mobile number) but no one answered and I left a message. I also went to his house which was nearby, but there was no one at home. I felt I had no alternative but to cut the holiday short as it was pitch dark at night
