We loved the cottage, it was bigger and lovelier than it looked in the pictures. It felt like a homely place, we had a lot of fun using some of the facilities, e.g. games, Wii, DVDs. The only downside of the place was that some of the mattresses on the single beds weren't as comfortable as they could have been. We would overall recommend this lovely place to others.

Lovely cottage, full of character, great location with a lovely, many-levelled garden, great for kids (but toddlers would need constant supervision). The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and we had a lovely time.

Welcomed by a very nice lady the house sits in an absolutely brilliant location, exactly on route. From the house you can several walks and pubs are all in walking distance. House is more than adequate furnished. With 10 clean beds, a well supplied kitchen, nice big living and 2 bathrooms more than enough space for a big group. Definitely a winner!!!

Great location , family of 10 to celebrate 60th wedding anniversary . Beds very comfortable , views exceptional . Parking not a problem . Only problem was creaky steep stairs , difficult for elderly people , but this was high lighted in description ....

Good location for the village, pubs and the wedding venue Upper House but very dark inside especially for reading.

Good location on edge of village and within easy walking of pubs and village shops. House on three floors, so great for those who can manage stairs easily. Outside deck overlooking steep garden. Only one (narrow) parking space on property, but we didn't have any issues parking on nearby road.

A delightful old fashioned cottage in a beautiful Peak District village. A good kitchen, a large living room and some charming bedrooms in this old school house in which you can almost smell the history. Great position for walking straight out onto Kinder Scout. We ate out on the decking terrace overlooking a steep garden down the valley and popped out to the local pubs for supper. Highly recommended for a traditional Peak District stay.
