Ideal for families, this property is great for exploring the seaside town and castle, and enjoying views towards Filey Brigg.

100 yards from beach

Britain’s first holiday resort, Scarborough has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years and is a delightful bustling seaside town catering for all the family. Beautiful sandy beaches of the North and South Bays are divided by a rocky headland, all proudly overlooked by Scarborough’s 12th century castle and affording uninterrupted views across the coastline as far as Filey Brigg. At the foot of the castle in the harbour, fishermen still land their catch. Beaches, cliff top walks and a busy shopping centre are all easily reached by the Victorian cliff lifts. A town of immense style with some of the finest parks and gardens, an elegant Esplanade and the magnificent Spa complex, where the only remaining seaside orchestra still performs. Something for everyone, by day or night with traditional Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides, seafront amusements, an indoor swimming pool, the Sea Life Centre, Peasholm Park, art galleries and museums, and top stars performing at the town’s theatres. Green Tor is just 100 yards from the North Bay, overlooking Peasholm Park, and is a spacious, 1930s detached house in its own large, private garden. Shops and pubs 200 yards.

Super 1930's house with many original features. There is lots of space, large rooms particularly the bedrooms. It was interesting cooking on the aga but there is a conventional oven as well. The only negative was the shower which seems quite inadequate for today's needs. Excellent position next to the swimming pool which our family enjoyed using.

Amazing house, so near the amazing park and right up the hill from the beach. All rooms sizes very generous. My only complaint is the bathrooms only 1 shower which wasn't working not great when trying to shower 14 people.

This lovely old house is in need of a complete make over. The shower facilities (one) is completely inadequate for 14 people. The windows need replacing lots of them don't shut correctly so it must be very cold in winter. The furniture is very worn. There is damp in the front bedroom. On the plus side the kitchen has everything you could need. It is a shame because I would go again if these improvements were made, the location is perfect

Excellent week in Green Tor. Perfect for our big family. We loved the 'retro' feel of it! Brilliant location just a 5 minute walk to the beach. Will definitely go again. Our only problem was the shower was very poor which was awkward with such a big party.

Lovely house for large family gathering, there were 13 of us and we didn't feel like we were on top of one another.
