Description

Just 200 yards from a cove which leads to a sandy beach, Sandy Haven is the perfect location for rock pooling at low tide.

Nestling just 200 yards from a little cove leading to a wide sandy beach with rock pools at low tide, a range of traditional farm buildings have been lovingly converted to create seven delightfully bright and very comfortable cottages. Decorations and a tree are provided for Christmas and New Year bookings. Furnished in smart modern style yet retaining much local charm and individuality, they sit within the Pembrokeshire National Park right on the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path – perfect for bird watchers and walkers as well as bucket and spade family holidays. Numerous other prize winning beaches lie within easy reach, dolphins and seals are often spotted in St Bride’s Bay, and riding on the beach at East Nolton is a delight (7 miles). The area’s water sports are especially good with sea fishing, sailing, diving, surfing and windsurfing at Broad Haven (5 miles) and Dale (3 miles) whilst golf is available at Milford Haven (6 miles) and Haverfordwest – a medieval town just 10 miles distant and home to a castle, good shopping and entertainments – and at St Davids. This tiny jewel of a cathedral city boasts great restaurants and cafés and a major music festival held in May. A cheese farm, woollen mill and lively theme parks are under 20 miles. Shops 6 miles, pub 1.5 miles.Nestling just 200 yards from a little cove leading to a wide sandy beach with rock pools at low tide, a range of traditional farm buildings have been lovingly converted to create seven delightfully bright and very comfortable cottages. Great location for walking. Car essential for groceries. Garden furniture needs renewing or painting. Garden area secure for dog although farm dog visited regularly . The gentleman who greeted us was very helpful. Exchanged faulty heater and TV box. Provided information for walking areas.

It was ideal for us our only gripe was the Internet conection which was non existant and as we were there to visit family and friends in the area very difficult to stay in touch. As ex Pembrokeshire residents we are familiar with the lack of communication and did choose this property because it stated wi fi. The owner did give us the code which failed and I had to ask him again which l felt his reply was a bit uninterested it still didn't work. Even our tech grandson had a go. The cottage information book could do with updating. There were light bulbs out the one over the sink was a nuisance. The wood burner had not been cleaned out. The fridge light was out and it was very noisy think it's due for replacement. Bathroom light flicks on and off. A door mat would have been helpful. The kitchen trolley was very wonky and could do with sorting especially as it was difficult to open the cutlery drawer. Just needed some end of season love

An enjoyable holiday. The cottage was comfortable and warm (November). Probably wouldn't use this cottage again because now we know the area would probably look for a cottage in several different villages.

great location the cottage could do with fresh lick of paint but to be fair it was only a minor issue

Cottage was in a beautiful area and was very peaceful with great access to the coastal path and various beaches, perfect for dog walkers! Only downside was ticking the box for a pamper pack and never receiving it. Never had to pay for it so can't really complain to loudly. Had a great time overall.

We enjoyed our holiday however we were expecting a pamper pack which never appeared and overall thought the price of cottage a bit expensive

We didn't stay in that particular cottage - we were moved on the day of travel as the television wasn't working in our cottage. The area was beautiful with many sandy bays and lovely coastal walks.
