Was an absolute dream holiday! Although we never met the owners it was also nice to be left to our own devices, they left us some beautiful roses and a bottle of wine. Thank you!

Had the best time at Stone-cross for the second year in a row, will be booking again. Lovely location and a great clean and welcoming place full of little personal touches. Would recommend to anyone looking for downtime in a beautiful place.

We had a wonderful week in Stone Cross Cottage in July this year. The accommodation was first class with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful countryside, moorland, coast and the numerous pretty villages around the region. We were fortunate to have fantastic weather but I'm sure we would have had a great time whatever the weather. The owners could not have made our stay any more comfortable and their hospitality was very much appreciated. This was our first visit to the North Yorkshire Moors and we have fallen in love with the area. We would love to return and stay at Stone Cross cottage again.

Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings. Ideal location for the coast and the countryside. Roses and a bottle of wine on the table and milk in the fridge when we arrived. A lovely welcoming gesture. A delightful find. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Everything in the cottage was first class clean comfortable and well equipped. The location was peaceful and in easy reach of other locations with lovely walks and beautiful scenery. On our arrival there was a bottle of wine and flowers on the table, nice touch. Would definitely stay there again.

The cottage is obviously purpose built and ideal for two people. The furniture and equipment are are of good quality. The location is a big plus because of the views onto the outstanding countryside. The Moors Inn is probably the only local amenity you can comfortably walk to but that said anyone booking Stone Cross would more than likely have their own transport. There are many places, such as National Trust properties and the like within easy driving distance. Also York, Scarborough and Whitby are less than an hours drive away, that's if you don't stop to take in the views or go for a stroll . Accommodation and location make Stone Cross a great place for an holiday in the lovely county of North Yorkshire.

Lovely little cottage with a quirky mezzanine floor which really made the best of the space available . Extremely dog friendly. Thought that the wine flowers and milk were lovely touches, particularly liked the breadmaker ! Would definitely stay here again .
