A nice cottage located on a working farm. Two calves were born whilst we were there so it was wonderful to seem then in the first week. The host and hostess were super nice and welcoming. The cottage is well fitted out. The local view was super. The place is half way between Appleby and Kirkby Stephen. We would 100% for sure stay here again. Loved it.

We were delighted with our stay at the Granary and so was Ted our 2 year old black Labrador. Every day he would kiss the cows good morning and good night and I am sure they knew when he was around as they made a beeline for the fence. Ted loved the freedom of the farm. We were within easy reach of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and all of the pubs we ate in did really good food and welcomed dogs . We did some excellent walks around Kirkby Stephen, especially the viaduct walk as we could let Ted off the lead. The welcome pack was great with biscuits, flowers, eggs, milk and a bottle of wine. Helen & William were lovely people who made us so welcome. We also thought the Granary was terrific value for money. We don't normally do the same holiday twice but we may just make an exception on this one.

Very friendly and hospitable owners, William and Helen, and very much enjoyed our stay in The Granary, which was cosy, comfortable and clean.

Great hosts and clean cottage. Oven took a bit of time to get going and there isn't too much to do in the surrounding area, however, if you are all about going for long walks with the dog it is absolutely ideal.
