I booked the cottage for my mum's 80th birthday. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we required. It was in a great location and really good value for money. Lots of great things to do locally. If I was in the area again I would be more than happy to stay at Godfreys Hole.

I was using the cottage as a bridge between the sale and purchase of houses. Godfrey Hole Cottage was an ideal place for this purpose. The only slight downside was the Mobile reception inside the cottage. Had everything you would expect from a good holiday cottage.

It was everything we expected it to be, Peter & Allison could not have been more helpful.

Cottage was nice inside right down to the folded edge on the toilet paper! But was very close to a very noisy road with Lorrys going past ,we had to close the bedroom windows at night because of the noise and during a hot August that was not ideal. Also the garden was a disappiontment , we needed to go up approx ten steps to get to a small long strip of land enclosed by a low stone wall and covered completely by white stone chips it was suggested that you could play boules in this area but not everyone wants to do that! As I said before it was a hot dry August and the garden furniture had not been uncovered there was an old bench and an old garden rake, nothing else and no view unless you don't mind looking at a large farm type building and a lots of stinging nettles. It would have been nice to have seen a few pot plants etc to make it a garden and more welcoming to have had the furniture uncovered. No towels supplied for person using sofa bed and no clothes storage for same person my son had to live out of his bag for a week. The standard of the cottage however was good thank you.

Response on behalf of the owner; We were very disappointed to read your review following your recent stay at Godfrey Hole Cottage. Having had such happy customers in the past, it is a shame that you had a disappointing experience. We very much regret that you did not enjoy your stay and we would ask potential visitors to read the many positive reviews we have received over the past 12 months which depict a much more accurate picture of our Cottage.
