This property was advertised as a 4 bed 4 bath property. The 3 bedroom house was nice but no way is the 4th room attached suitable for children or adults. We had damp, slugs and snails crawling up the walls, unsuitable stairs to this room and an unsavoury wet space. This 'room' had no wardrobe and when we arrived, no locking from the inside of the outside door!!! Suitable for children I think not. If only 3 bedrooms required the house itself is nice. However we did have water coming through the dining room ceiling at one point. The one holiday my son and his wife get in a year was spoiled by having to have 2 children sleep in their room with them when they were expecting some privacy. Most upsetting of all was the owner's manner when I tried to discuss this.

Lovely location. Size of house and garden great. Cleanliness unfortunately not up to scratch and some of the furnishings a little tired looking. Lot of money for that standard of accommodation.

Fabulous location but sadly some of the interior furnishings and utensils were very tired and dated, we felt that the house needed some TLC both inside and out. The bedroom in the annexe is very basic, and due to the fact that it is separate from the main bedroom area and only accessed by very steep steps or via another bedroom and across a balcony, you would not be able to put either small children or the elderly in this room. I think this should be mentioned in the description as this did cause us some difficulties during our stay.

Nice looking house in lovely location, however twin ensuite so small there was no wardrobe, clothes had to be hung round picture rail. This room was only really suitable for children or teenagers , description did not indicate this in any way. One of the beds in this room was also in state of collapse but despite two visits from handyman was never mended. Lady using it had to rebuild replacing slats each night. Other bedrooms fine but TLC needed on outside decking , balcony.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you so much for your feedback which we have taken on board. We really appreciate you drawing our attention to the fact that there is no wardrobe in the studio room, as you are the first person in fifteen years to do this. Even our family hadn't noticed this! We will be installing one in September. Cottages.com will be changing the online description to describe the second ensuite as a 'wet room', at our request. The beds in the studio are only a year old and are expensive adult beds from John Lewis. We apologise sincerely that your guest did not sleep well on it but the bed has never collapsed before. As you mentioned, we did make every effort to try to have it fixed and rectify the situation. The bed is now fixed. Thank you for your feedback and we hope that, aside from the bed, you all enjoyed your stay.

All the family really enjoyed our stay. A bathroom each was a joy as no one was kept waiting. The garden for my grandson was secure and he could play happily on his own without supervision. Everything was catered for right down to the washing powder, dishwasher tablets etc. We need not bring anything with us next year. The only draw back was no iron but if that is all that was wrong with it it was worth buying one From TESCOs. Roll on next year.

The location was beautiful. The house was lovely with a nice surprise through the Narnia wardrobe. The house was very well equipped. We found the ovens were not that great as they took at least twice as long to cook anything. We also thought the house could do with a dust in several places. The house was very spacious for our large family of 9. The weather was cold and windy a lot of the time but did not dampen our spirits. Surrounding walks were great with beautiful scenery. We would defiantly come back again. Dish washer was a god send along with the washer and dryer. If you have an allergy please let the owner know ( as we forgot) due to feather pillows and duvets in the double bedrooms. The owner returned some medication and digital thermometer as we forgot to repack this hidden in a cupboard from the little ones, so many thanks.
