We had a fantastic week at Glenfern. The house is beautiful with ample space and has an amazing garden. The pool table and hot tub are great additions. The property is well placed for access to lots of interesting and enjoyable things to see and do. However, there are a number of (simple to fix) things that would have greatly improved our stay and would help to bring this property closer to it's advertised "boutique" description: 1) Removal of all the technical equipment that does not work e.g. Bose system throughout the house and desktop computer in office 2) Ensure all remaining technical equipment works as it should e.g. ice maker on freezer, TVs in bedrooms, sauna 3) Provision of information / instructions including but not limited to: - Sky pin code - local recycling rules (what goes in which bin) - how to get the heating working - how to contact the maintenance company 4) Some general maintenance and TLC for the building and its contents including but not limited to: - kitchen cupboard doors falling off - shelves hanging loose (twin attic bedroom) - veg drawer in fridge broken (no handle or runners) - loose carpet at bottom of main stairs (slip hazard) - large number of lamps with bulbs or fuses gone - broken blind in main house twin bedroom - decoration wear and tear (large chip out of wallpaper in dining room) 5) A couple of minor cleaning issues: we found a sock on the floor in one of the bathrooms on arrival and a pop bottle in the living room. It is disappointing that a number of our comments have been raised previously by other guests according to the guest book but they have not been addressed. A change if description on the website would solve some of these issues as expectations would not be set as high. To end on a positive note, both the owner and the management company were extremely friendly when we contacted them to report some of the above. The problems are all niggles and did not ruin our stay in this lovely place.

WIFI was only good in certain areas and the sky package did not work because of this but this was only a minor complaint.
