Had a fantastic week at Glen View. Cottage was homely and welcoming. Lovely location and so many places of interest all within a few minutes walk or drive! Great choice of places to eat within walking distance too! Parking is not the greatest and can be awkward, especially if you have a larger car, but don’t let that put you off staying here as it’s a wonderful place to base your holiday from.

The cottage is beautiful. It's very old but that does mean that there is a lingering musty smell in the place. It's quite pungent when you first open the front door. The garden was a bit of a let down. It's basically a tiny little patio with a fence as the rest of the garden is a steep slope and is overgrown with trees and bushes. There is a warning not to go beyond the fence due to the steep and uneven nature of the rest of the garden. It's quite dark in there, but I guess that's to be expected in an old cottage. It's certainly quaint, but we were a bit disappointed to discover lots of dust and cobwebs when we moved the table out to sit down - as if it hadn't been cleaned for a long time. There was lots of dust and cobwebs around some of the windows, too. The furniture is quite old but it's reasonably comfortable. The woodburner is lovely and makes the room so cosy. Couldn't get to grips with the storage heaters. The bathroom is pretty and quite big, but the actual shower cubicle is very small and awkward which is a shame, especially as there's no bath. There is no actual designated parking for this property. It's a case of squeezing in as tight as you can in the lane outside. The cottage is on a fairly steep hill leading down to Boscastle. There are pubs and restaurants within walking distance, and a Spar supermarket, but coming back up that hill can be pretty tough going if you have any mobility problems. Also, the staircase is open so I would be wary if I had young children, especially as the floor is hard slate, not carpet. It would be a hard landing!

Overall acceptable, but furniture in the living room was quite old and not in the best shape. Overall in the house lots of animal hears were distributed. Nice terrace. Clean bathroom. Kitchen equipment sometimes not enough for 5 persons.
