National Trust Holiday Cottage

Glebe Cottage is located in the quiet prestigious coastal area just outside the pretty village of Mawnan Smith, with a thatch pub, village square providing every day facilities including a post office, store, tea rooms, small museum and sub-tropical gardens. Glebe Cottage is just yards from the stunning South West Coastal Path, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Home made meals can be made upon arrival on request. Perfectly located between the vibrant town of Falmouth with prestigious marinas, restaurants, bars, museums, cinema, shops and the peaceful tranquillity and beauty of the Helford River and small beaches.
It is situated along a quiet sequestered lane that leads to the ancient Mawnan Church, standing guard over the entrance to the Helford. Once a rectory barn, this romantic old building has masses of character, including a galleried landing that looks down into a beamed open-plan living area.
The National Trust’s garden at Glendurgan is within walking distance, and there are lovely coastal walks around the entrance to the Helford River and out to Rosemullion Head. With direct access to the coastal paths this is a walker’s paradise, with quiet beaches and coves to explore en route. Nearby Maenporth Beach is a sheltered sandy beach with a delightful café open all year and the renowned restaurant is ideal for lunch, afternoon tea or delicious evening meal.
For bird watchers and for those who enjoy wildlife, the coastal waters are home to basking sharks, dolphins and seals. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

One step up to living/dining room/kitchen. First floor: Double bedroom with 5ft bed. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

Lovely cottage in great location. Mile walk to village with shop, decent pub and good Tapas restaurant. Regular daytime bus to Falmouth and only £15 for night time taxi return from Falmouth. Would very happily stay again
