As we were staying with all four of our dogs we weren't looking for luxery and didn't expect it. Glandwr was clean and comfy and worked well for us as a base for walking and exploring.

The cottage was not all that clean - very dusty and the bedding smelt dusty. The beds were extremely uncomfortable as was the living room furniture. We left on Tuesday as the garden was not safe and secure for the dogs to be left and it was simply too cold. We were sat with quilts around us as the storage heaters and 1 additional heater was simply not efficient. We have booked cottages through yourselves before and loved it and this one was dissappointing. We lasted 3 nights and couldn't bare it anymore.

Lovely warm cottage. Ideally located in a lovely village. Really clean. Well equipped. My only complaint would be that the water never really got hot enough for a bath - although the shower was extremely efficient and the double bed was quite uncomfortable. Loved it though and would definitely use it again.

Would be better if broadband was provided, mobile phone reception is non existent inside house, but sometimes works in Glandwr's front garden.

We have 2 large dogs and a baby, we wanted a relaxing stay in North Wales and booked this place mainly because of the enclosed garden and tranquil location. Looking at the photos we realised the decor was a bit dated but were willing to put up with it. On arrival it was clear that the fixtures and fittings were tired and need updating, attention to detail was also poor, little things like having no way to light the fire, TV remotes that don't work or only one shelf in the oven making cooking a bit tricky were forgivable but there were some things that caused real problems, The property is on a main road but the traffic noise wasn't the issue, the building work going on all week next door however ensured we couldn't spend anytime in the property as next door had a new roof re-slated, luckily the workmen's radio drowned out most of the banging but obviously the guys working there had to shout louder to be heard over the radio. I realise that the owners can't be held responsible for work being done next door but the scaffold had been up for while so they could have at least given us a 'heads-up' that work was going on when we spoke to them the day before our arrival and maybe offered a discount. Finally, the 'enclosed garden only proved to be accurate on 3 sides! Within 10 minutes our inquisitive female Malamute had discovered that 4 or 5 dead bamboo canes do not constitute a 'secure' boundary and she had to be rescued fro the neighbours garden before she could annoy their two dogs. We can forgive many things but if our two dogs have to be supervised most of their day when we pay for a 'secure' garden then we won't be going back.
