Gill Edge is a great Cottage with inspiring views. It is isolated whilst being very close to Bainbridge and the main Hawes Sedburgh road. It's very cosy and well equiped. The cottage was very warm generally, but we didn't have control of the heater timing so one one day when we returned it was very cold and had to wait for the heating to kick in. The main downside is the shower, which is very weak, and I think the bath may have be installed the wrong way round (left hand vs right hand, or vise versa). Due to the angle end being under the shower, and it being so dribbly, you have to lean backward to get the water to flow over you, so you could potentially slip. Other than that we had an amazing stay and once again enjoyed some wonderful walks in this lovely area of the country.

This was our second stay at these cottages and both holidays were really good. We particularly love the location and views and the peaceful relaxing environment. There are opportunities to walk in every direction and we love the closeness of the animals such as ponies, dogs and wildlife such as pied wagtails and nesting swallows above the doors to the cottages.
