What an amazing house in a beautiful location. Everything you need is supplied. Spent most of our evenings up on the Mezzanine, where the main large TV is located. Great area to relax with the skylights open as it does get very warm in the house. Really liked the setting next to the River Ness. Good for walks. Also, perfect location for visiting nearby places of interest like Chanonry Point on the Black Isle where we saw two dolphins. Falls of Foyers just down the Dores Road was great too. Inverness is lovely as well and has all you need for eating out or self catering meals. Really liked the automatic entry/exit systems, especially the motion sensored exit doors. Not cheap but certainly luxurious.

Ghillies Lodge is a very nice place to stay. Location is very good, it is literally a few minutes outside of Inverness allowing for easy access to local places of interest yet being in a very peaceful setting. Negatives were that the temperature was very hot (27C!) and we only figured out how to turn the heat down after a few days. It could perhaps be part of the turnaround procedures to check thermostats are set for a more comfortable temperature. The only other negative is that the dishwasher is not great and we had to wash everything by hand as a result. Otherwise great and will be back (at some point).

I booked the lodge as a surprise for my parents who both had their 80th birthday this year it was Wow! from everyone who stayed Lush! comfortable! clean and everything at hand Dad was in his element keeping the log fire burning and Mum was able to chill out completely. Only thing i regret is not realising that their is a guy named George who on request will cook for you, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend just wish i could do it more often. Lovely friendly staff on hand whenever or whatever your needs.
