Excellent property. Let done by no hairdryer, not enough towels, and dog hairs everywhere ;(

Great location, lovely property. The owners have made a real effort to make the property comfortable and relaxing. The only issue we had was the underfloor heating failed to work, and it was a very cold weekend. We had no kindling or matches for the woodburner, but the owners did arrange a couple of electric heater very quickly.

We only stayed 3 nights and although we did have some trouble finding the property (turn right at the telephone box would have helped greatly) its location was very pleasant with an enclosed garden and local walks. It was quite a cold few days during our stay and unfortunately the underground floor heating was either inefficient or not working at all. We needed to keep the wood burning stove alight from first thing in the morning to last thing at night just to stay warm. The upstairs radiators worked well. We did report this to the local contact but was unable to help improve the situation. A couple of convector heaters would be a useful backup for this situation. In summer I'm sure this would be an excellent cottage.

It should be made clear that the access to the Barn is limiting if you have a wide vehicle or a vehicle with low ground clearance. Other than that it is a delightful situation. It's in a good position to explore the Peak District.

Great location, feels like you're away from it all but in fact you're a five minute walk from Wirksworth, its shops and other amenities. Lots of walks from the doorstep too, as a footpath runs right by the enclosed garden. A sympathetic renovation, good log burner underfloor heating and a well appointed kitchen. We loved it and so did our dogs!

A wonderful house, an excellent location, great for meeting up with family, friends and the dog. Close to a town ( down a good path) but yet feels like in the middle of nowhere! Delightful!

Great location, let down by a rather surly caretaker and a lack of generosity in basic essentials - half a loo roll for two toilets, no washing up liquid, empty salt and pepper pots, chipped crockery and a welcome pack that consisted of a bottle of wine and one dishwasher tablet. Caretaker begrudgingly delivered two toilet rolls. We self cater regularly and haven't experienced this lack of provision before. I do hope the owners take this on board and are more generous - it would cost so little but make such a difference.

This was a lovely cottage nice and warm and perfectly located. The beds need to be bigger and the downstairs mattress needs to be thrown out. Comfortable fits 6, 8 would be a squash.
