The cottage was cold in the evening as the under floor heating in the lounge area was not working or high enough. (It was a good job there was a log burner but we ran out of logs on the second night and did not know where to purchase anymore). We called the caretaker on the first night and he arranged for the engineer to come, but he turned up just as we were leaving which was not any use to us at all.

Cute cottage, well thought out in a nice enclosed location. We were put off by the visits from the cottage owners parents continuously for the first few days planting bulbs, checking bins, they always seemed to come and although friendly this was the first time in 9 years my partner and I had the first days without the kids we would have liked to feel a little less under watch. Fire worked lovely, bed linen comfortable, cooking equipment good couldn't suss under floor heating but fire would heat it up quickly. lovely friendly area to stay.

This was our second visit to this cottage and it did not disappoint. It is such a comfortable cottage and a real get away from it all. Great location - lovely views. As walkers there is still so much to do from the door - we will be back to explore further. The cottage has everything you could want - a real home from home. Location good for the local shops - just a short walk. Our 10 year old beagle enjoyed coming back - she just loves the garden - very dog friendly. Another perfect week - thank you

Lovely, clean cottage in rural location but only 5 mins walk (down track next to cottage) to town & supermarket. High Peak Trail 5 mins away. Well equipped kitchen, TV in every room, games, books & DVDs supplied. Central heating (we stayed in October) - didn't need wood burner (but added to homely feel of barn.) Enjoyed welcome bottle of wine! 5 adults, 2 dogs - plenty of room. Garden furniture supplied, so could sit outside & chat to fellow walkers passing by. Would definitely recommend, and hope to stay here again.

This is a lovely place to stay but it is definitely not for 8 people it's small and compact. More ideal for 5/6

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry that you found the accommodation on the small side for your purposes. We had hoped that the description of the property made it clear that one of the beds is a sofa bed (plus one bed is a 4ft bed) and therefore more suitable to a party of 6 if adults and staying for a week or longer. However, we will look at the wording again to see if we can improve it. Thank you for your comments and we hope that you had a good holiday in any case.
